Frequently Asked Questions

What is Still One?

A quiet daily reflection app. Each day, a single gentle question appears. You can write a brief response, or not. It's a small, calm moment — not a journal, not a tracker.

How are questions chosen?

Questions follow a weekly rhythm that balances light, medium, and deep questions. The selection considers tone and avoids repeating recent questions. During your first week, only light questions appear to ease you in gently.

What is Echo?

Echo occasionally shows you a past entry from a few days ago. A quiet re-meeting with your earlier self — no analysis, no judgment. It appears naturally and cannot be forced.

What does "Leave for today" do?

If you don't feel like writing, tap "Leave this for today." The question rests. No penalty, no tracking. A new question will be there tomorrow.

How do notifications work?

Entirely optional. If enabled, a single gentle reminder arrives each evening. The message varies and is meant as a soft nudge, not an obligation. You can change this anytime in settings.

What is the Apple Health integration?

With your permission, Still One reads "Time in Daylight" from Apple Health. This subtly influences the tone of your daily question. It's optional, read-only, and nothing is stored or shared.

How does iCloud sync work?

If iCloud is enabled on your device, entries sync automatically across all devices signed in with the same Apple ID. The sync uses Apple's CloudKit. The developer never has access to your data.

What languages are supported?

English and Japanese. You can switch anytime in settings. All 70 questions are available in both languages.

Can I delete my entries?

Your entries live on your device and in your iCloud account. Deleting the app removes all local data. To remove iCloud data, go to Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Manage Storage.
